Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 5, 2026 · Last updated: June 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PANSL ("PANSL", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with this website and the applications we develop and submit to app marketplaces such as the Apple App Store and Google Play (each, an "App", and together with this website, the "Services").
We build software with privacy as a first principle. Wherever it is technically possible, our Apps are designed to process your content on your device and to keep your data under your control.
The short version. We collect as little as possible. We don't sell your personal information. Many of our Apps work entirely on-device and never send your content to us or anyone else. Where an App does collect data, this policy — together with the App's App Store privacy disclosures — describes what and why.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the PANSL website at pansl.com and to PANSL-published Apps that link to it. An individual App may include a supplemental privacy notice describing practices specific to that App; where there is a conflict, the App-specific notice governs for that App. This policy does not cover third-party products, websites, or services that we do not own or control.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the Services.
Information you provide
- Contact information. If you email us or fill out a form, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Support information. If you contact support, we may receive details you provide to help us diagnose and resolve an issue.
Information processed on your device
- Your content. Many of our Apps process documents, audio, notes, or other content locally on your device to provide their core features. This content stays on your device unless a feature you choose explicitly requires otherwise, and we do not have access to it.
Information collected automatically
- Diagnostics and usage. An App or the website may collect limited, aggregated diagnostic data (such as crash reports, performance metrics, and feature-usage counts) to keep the Services reliable. Where required, this is optional and subject to your consent.
- Device and log data. When you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of sensitive personal data, and we do not use your content to train machine-learning models without your explicit, separate consent.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services and their features;
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
- To diagnose technical problems, prevent abuse, and keep the Services secure;
- To understand, in aggregate, how the Services are used so we can make them better;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal data on the bases of your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who process data on our behalf (for example, hosting, error reporting, and email delivery) under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Legal and safety. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of PANSL, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where the receiving party agrees to honor this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Content processed on your device is retained according to your own device settings and the choices you make within each App; you can delete it at any time by deleting it in the App or removing the App.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including encryption in transit for data sent to or from our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) may request access to or deletion of personal information and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" (note that we do neither). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@pansl.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. App Store and platform notices
Apps distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play are also subject to those platforms' privacy disclosures. Each App's "Privacy" information on its store listing summarizes the data the App may collect and how it is used. Your use of an App is additionally governed by the applicable platform's terms.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at contact@pansl.com.
